COTTED, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, is committed to providing skill-based industrial training and promoting entrepreneurship. The NEP, developed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, emphasizes the importance of skill-oriented education.
Founded under Section 7 of the MSMED Act, 2006, and supported by NITI Aayog, COTTED operates within the framework of the National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework (NVEQF) established by the Ministry of Education. This framework covers education from secondary to doctoral levels, ensuring nationally recognized standards.
COTTED acts as a platform for skill development, identifying key industries and opportunities where skill-based education can significantly contribute to India's broader skill development goals. In alignment with the government's Skill India Mission, COTTED is dedicated to enhancing the skills of individuals across the country, helping them succeed in today's competitive world.
