Established under Section 7 of the MSMED Act, 2006, and endorsed by NITI Aayog, COTTED operates within the framework of the National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework (NVEQF) set by the Ministry of Education. This framework spans education levels from secondary to doctoral, ensuring nationally recognized standards. COTTED serves as a platform for skill enhancement, identifying key industries and opportunities where such education can significantly contribute to India's skill development objectives.
